MY journey to becoming a CERTIFIED BIRTH doula & childbirth EDUCATOR

My journey to becoming a birth doula began with my own transformative experiences as a mother. After having a doula during my first birth (which ended in an emergency cesarean), I still felt incredibly empowered. I knew I wanted to help others in the same way. When I went on to have a successful VBAC with my second, it solidified my passion for birth and a women’s capabilities, and it inspired me to finally take the leap into getting certified.

My love for childbirth education comes from my belief that everyone deserves to have clear, evidence-based information about birth and what to expect. It’s my passion to help parents feel informed, confident, and empowered to make the best decisions for their unique birth experiance.

Hello! I’m Amberlynn Jones, a passionate birth doula, childbirth educator, and mama to three wonderful kiddos—Colter (4.5), Leila (2.5), and Stetson (5 months). I’m also a military spouse, so I know firsthand how important it is to have a supportive team in your corner, no matter where life takes you.

My love for birth began at a young age and only deepened after becoming a mother myself. My own birthing experiences—starting with a c-section for my first child—shaped my approach to birth work. That experience, followed by the empowerment of having a VBAC with my daughter and another with my youngest son, has given me a deep respect for all birth journeys. I am passionate about supporting families through their unique birth stories, whether that means a cesarean, vaginal birth, home birth, or anything in between.

When I’m not supporting families at birth, you can usually find me in the kitchen baking sourdough and perfecting new sourdough recipes. It’s a little hobby that has brought me peace and joy—kind of like the peace I hope to bring to my clients as they navigate their own birth experiences.

Back-Up doula

As a birth doula, it is always my priority to be there for your birth and provide the support you need. However, I recognize that unexpected life circumstances, like family emergencies or illness, can sometimes arise. In the rare event that I am unable to attend your birth, I will ensure you have a trusted backup doula to step in. Your birth will always be my focus no matter the circumstances.
